Unlocking the OZEV Grant with Immersun: A Simple Guide
Looking to make the most of your EV experience with a home charger? The OZEV Grant can significantly reduce your costs, and we’re here to guide you through it!
What is the OZEV Grant?
The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) offers a grant for electric car home chargers, giving you:
- Up to £350 off the cost of purchasing and installing a home charging point.
- Availability even if you’re renting or live in a flat with dedicated off-street parking.
- Potential additional savings if you’re in a residential park, with landlords or property managers able to claim up to £500 per bay for communal infrastructure.
Am I Eligible?
You qualify if you:
- Own or live in a rented flat or house.
- Have dedicated off-street parking.
- Own, lease or use an electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle eligible for the grant (Check the OZEV list to see if your vehicle qualifies).
- Haven’t claimed this grant for your EV before.
Note: You can no longer claim for two chargepoints if you have two EVs. For detailed criteria, check the government’s official site.
Make sure you claim the grant before your charger is installed.
Bonus: If you’re in property management, don’t miss out on the EV chargepoint grant for landlords, covering up to 75% of chargepoint installation costs.
Extra Savings for Scottish Residents!
While the EST grant scheme isn’t taking new applications currently, Scottish residents previously benefited from an additional grant of up to £300 on top of the OZEV grant. If it reopens, we’ll guide our Scottish customers through this added bonus as well.
